Mathew Sinclair joins Business Hawkes Bay team
Article IndexFormer Black Cap Mathew Sinclair takes up an economic development role with Business Hawke’s Bay, as Business Grow client manager, starting this week.
The Central Stags player will be working in the business community from Wairoa to Waipukurau identifying issues and making referrals to support agencies. He will also be encouraging the growth of the online Business Hawke’s Bay Directory which currently has around 3000 listings.
Business Hawke’s Bay advisory group member and Napier City Council economic development manager Ron Massey said Sinclair would be taking a pro-active approach to business growth throughout the region.
“He is a well-known local personality and will be a welcome face for business owners who now have the opportunity to discuss the issues they are facing in the current economic climate, and find out what help is available to them.”
Sinclair said he was looking forward to the face to face communication with local business.
“I’m looking forward to meeting as many business owners as possible and getting their feedback.
“I also think it’s important that businesses are aware of the support services being offered by Business Hawke’s Bay,” Sinclair said.
Sinclair is on a fixed four month contract before resuming cricketing commitments over the summer.
